Explorer of the Seas. The Dining Room

With an array of dining rooms, one doesn’t have to eat at the same place every night (unless you want to). The main dining hall is three levels with a grand staircase, gold leaf columns, velvet curtains and a ceiling dome. The fare isn’t exactly revolutionary, but it is good. The dining hall has healthy options as well as vegetarian dishes, both American and Indian. Breakfast and lunch is open seating, but it will be hard to get a table for two. The salad bar is staffed by chefs, who puts the salads together according to your wishes. Other dining options include Brasserie 30, where you can choose two menu items and be done in less than thirty minutes. There’s also Johnny Rocket’s, a 50s style fast food place where one can get burgers, hot dogs, fries and other fast food fare.

The Explorer of the Seas Royal Promenade is 600 Feet long and 4 Stories High

To those curious about the rooms, all of Explorer of the Seas’ rooms are comfortable and roomy. The Standard cabins have two twin beds that can be converted to one queen bed, a mini-fridge, a television, desk and safe. The Junior Suites have a bathroom with tub and a bigger living room. The Royal Family Suites has two bedrooms, plus a sitting room. The second bedroom has two Pullmans that can be pulled from the ceiling. The Grand Suites are a larger Junior Suite. The Owner’s Suite contains a bathroom replete with whirlpool, a bidet and a separate shower, plus separate living rooms. The Royal Suites include everything mentioned, plus a baby grand piano.
For your entertainment, there are dance lessons, horse races, seminars on such topics as healthy cooking and gemstones, and arts and crafts workshops. In addition, there’s almost always a performance on the Promenade. At night, one can sample from an array of entertainment options. In the Palace, one can see Broadway style song and dance shows.

Casino Royal – Explorer of the Seas

The Casino Royal, the ship’s casino, has three hundred slots, ten blackjack tables, three Caribbean stud tables, three roulette wheels and a craps table. Other clubs include Maharaja’s, an Indian themed club and Weekend Warriors, a sports bar with games shown on multiple satellite televisions. The Minstrel Dining Hall on the cruise offers dinner with multiple course meals. The express lunches and open seating breakfasts are also served to the guests here. Chops with the steak house menu charges $20 as the cover fee. The host of murder mystery feats- Portofino is another option for the visitors of the place. Italian food is served at this place with $20 cover charge. Both of these restaurants have spectacular setting with premium quality services.

The Sea View Café serves sandwiches, salads and pizzas to its guests with outdoor as well as indoor seating arrangements. Solarium Café also provides healthy eating options including different types of sandwiches and salads. For ethnic cuisines and casual American fare, Windjammer Café is an ideal choice. The visitors can relish casual dining with buffet. The place has separated service island for various menu parts- burgers/ condiments /hot dogs, lunch, salads etc. Latte’tudes is yet another place to enjoy gourmet coffee and pastries.
