Le Ponant Sailing Cruises for Luxurious Holidays

Le Ponant is a three- masted sailing ship of Compagnie du Ponant that is constructed to value the tradition of legendary sailing yachts. It is a small first-rate cruiser that takes its 64 passengers to a cruise of discovery, providing intimacy and warm atmosphere to its guests all throughout the voyage. Although the gracious life on board, convivial charm of its cabins and the sumptuous ambiance of its lounges and restaurants make sailing on board Le Ponant a wonderful experience, its guests have always chosen more outdoor and physical activities as an alternative to the typical and customary relaxation and leisure.

Le Ponant is an efficient and sleek sailing ship that has an elegant and shipshape interiors favored mostly by the French and intercontinental guests. If all sailing yacht cabins have double occupancy the crew to guest’s ratio is 1:2 or one crew for every 2 guests. When Le Ponant is at full capacity crew to passenger ratio is one crew for every 2.1 guests.
The not too large cabins (about 140 sq ft) are efficiently designed and adequately furnished with a mini bar, a safe and a fridge. Although the bathrooms are small, it is also well-designed.

There are plenty of deck space on board Le Ponant as well as a marina platform for water-skiing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving or windsurfing that more than made up for the lack of a pool. The ship also has Zodiacs for river cruising, coastal trips and wildlife watching.

For a more casual and informal dining ambiance, the Le Diamant Restaurant, which is always open, serves tempting and delicious American meals presented outdoors under canvas umbrellas where the guests take pleasure in the tasty food as well as invigorating fresh air.
