Star Princess is the shining star of the Princess Cruises. This cruise ship, that is a destination in itself, was built in 2002 but was totally refurbished in 2008. It carries maximum 2,600 passengers serviced by a 1,200 man-crew. Star Princess is simply and elegantly decorated in exceptional good taste.

The ship has 1,300 cabins that were given a soft face lift when Star Princess was refurbished. Typical outside and inside cabins total 1,096. Out of this number, 710 are furnished with private verandahs. Star Princess has 22 suites, two family suites with interconnected doors, 180 mini-suites and one grand suite. The mini-suites for four passengers are quite family friendly and have balconies that protrude from the other balconies on the ship, without roofs and great for star gazing.

Dining on board Star Princess is great in terms of quality, convenience and quantity. Guests will never go hungry on this ship. For guests who prefer the Traditional Dining with set dining time, routine and tablemates, there is Amalfi Dining Room. For those who choose to dine any time anywhere there are two dining room choices, Portofino and Capri. In addition there are two alternative restaurants; Crown Grill, Star Princess’ steak and seafood house; and Sabatini’s, the company’s signature Italian restaurant.  The Lido deck is a food deck with the Trident Grill, Prego Pizzeria, Scoops, Horizon Court, International Café, and Vines,

The Promenade is where the entertainment action is at the Star Princess. The Princess Theater, Vista Lounge, Explorer’s Lounge and the Wheelhouse Bar are located in this boulevard-style area. The ship’s casino on Deck 6 has modern slot machines that are crowd drawers as well as numerous table games while the ship’ nightclub, Skywalker’s Nightclub located at the ship’s summit is a great disco place.

Star Princess also offers activities and programs that are meant to educate, stimulate, inspire, entertain and make the guests sweat and most of all, have fun.
