QUEEN MARY 2 CRUISE REVIEW

Queen Mary 2 is considered to be the first passenger liner and it is built for trans-Atlantic service in 35 years. It has many facilities for the people which include five swimming polls, bars and restaurants, a casinos, a theater, a ballroom and the first planetarium at the ocean. The other attractions are kennels and nursery onboard. QM 2 has been considered as one of the few ships which have remnants of high class and remarkable dining options.

Most of the major public rooms onboard QM2 are on the lowest public desks of the cruise ship and the passengers cabins are stacked above. This provides the unique style to the ship as compared to traditional designs of the ocean liners. This design of Queen Mary 2 is meant to accommodate more passengers’ cabins so that they can have amazing private balconies so that they do not get affected by the waves.

The main aim of the designs of Queen Mary 2 is to reduce the impact of the ship on the environment making it environment friendly by improving fuel efficiency and improved methods of handing of waste, reducing and increasing the service life of the ship. Initially, the targets included the reuse of wastewater for zero discharge and non-portable use of solid waste into the sea.

However, some of these features were not implemented for economic and other reasons. Still Queen Mary 2 achieved some of the goals of being environment friendly which older ships could not. The ship was manufactured in 2003 and at that time; it was considered to be longest, widest and tallest passenger ship.

Queen Mary 2 was named by Queen Elizabeth in 2004. In order to enjoy the luxury of high class ships, Queen Mary 2 is one of the most appreciated and preferred ship by Cunard lines.
